Learn To Bartend Behind a Real Bar From Actual BartendersOur Pittsburgh Bartending School classroom is set up like an actual bar. In fact it is just like any martini bar or ultra lounge that you may walk into downtown. The classroom has all the equipment that any bar you’ll ever work in has, and we have a much greater selection of alcohol. This way, when you graduate our Pittsburgh Bartending School you will be able to handle any bar, anywhere. That is a pretty bold statement, but we stand behind it the same way we stand behind each and every one of our graduates and their newly learned skills and abilities. The way our classes work is 20% of the class is the lecture and a full 80% of the class is practice time. Our goal is to get you behind the bar and have you bartend in a realistic atmosphere using all the tools of the trade. This is how you really learn to bartend, in a dimly lit, music filled, fast paced environment, not out of a book or a sterile, well lit, institutional classroom. Our Pittsburgh Bartending School course is all about the realism.
Once the lecture is over, the students get behind the bar and make each and every drink multiple times. You will learn through hands on training, practice and more practice, and through role playing realistic scenarios. We train this way in the classroom so that you get the complete bartending experience. This way when you graduate our Pittsburgh Bartending School and get a bartending job, there are no surprises. You are very well prepared and ready to bartend. Our Pittsburgh Bartending School 40 hour professional Mixology course consists of ten four hour lessons. We offer day, evening, and weekend classes as well as flexible scheduling if needed.

Our day class runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and is one week in length. Classes start every week. Our Night Class is held Monday through Friday 6:00pm to 10:00pm and is two weeks in length. Classes start every week. Our weekend Class is held every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Class duration is 2 1/2 weeks in length and Start Monthly The student may take any combination of day or evening or weekend classes until they complete the ten,4-hour lessons required to graduate. The classes may be taken in any order after the first day.
Our 40 hour professional mixology course consists of ten, 4-hour lessons. Each lesson is an independent module that can be taken in any order after the first class and orientation.
The school recognizes that adults have lives and commitments that may prevent them from attending one of our standard schedules. Regardless of your personal situation, if you want to attend our school and will make the effort to get here, we will work out a schedule for you. If you are in need of a special schedule, we will work one out for you during your personal interview with our enrollment director.
